# How do I calibrate a pair?

**Calibrate retunes one idle pair against recent Binance prices.** Idle means the pair is on and has no open lots. A pair that is already in a trade is left alone.

Bud can searche a better stop-loss, take-profit, trailing stop, and size. It does not place an order. If the new forecast wins, the bot applies that plan when the job finishes. You tap **Start**. That is the only tap. But you can configure some knobs if you like.

### One pair

Long press the pair → **Calibrate** → **Start**. Wait until it finishes. Open the pair and read [Forecast](/help/what-do-forecast-and-report-show) on the chart.

### Every idle pair

On the bot tabs (long press), tap **Calibrate all pairs**. Same idle rule. If the app says there is nothing to calibrate, those pairs are in trades. Wait.

### Stop-loss and take-profit

Stop-loss sells if price falls to a limit. Take-profit sells if price hits a target. Trailing stop follows a winner up. Size is how much of the pair the bot may hold.

Calibrate tries those knobs on recent Binance Spot prices. The result is the same Forecast number Bud shows on the pair. There is no fixed percent. If nothing beats what you have, the pair stays as it is. Calibrate is allowed to say no.

You can also ask [Bud Intelligence](/help/what-can-bud-intelligence-do) to calibrate a pair or your idle losers. It forecasts first, then applies only if the new number wins.
