Helpgetting started

How do I start live trading?

Paper first. Then create a Binance API key — Spot trading on, withdrawals off, locked to your box IP. Paste it in the app and tap Go live. Real money. Live is not locked — you still steer strategy, stop-loss, take-profit, and size on an open trade.

Paper first. Then a Binance API key. Then Go live. That is how CryptoBud starts live trading. Live is real money on binance.comOpens in a new tab Spot — not Binance.US, not a test site.

Put USDT on Spot

Live reads your Spot USDT. Funding, Earn, and Futures do not count.

On Binance: Wallet → Fiat and Spot → buy or convert to USDT. The app shows that Spot wallet when you paste a working key.

Creating an API key is free. Trades pay Binance’s usual Spot fees.

Get your box IP

Binance will not turn on trading permission without a trusted IP. CryptoBud emails you the IP for your cloud box. Paste that IP when you create the key. The key then only works from that box.

Create the Binance API key

Do this on binance.com, on a computer. The secret is shown once.

  1. Profile icon → AccountAPI ManagementCreate API
  2. Complete 2FA
  3. Turn on: Enable Reading, Enable Spot & Margin Trading
  4. Leave Enable Withdrawals off — if the key can send coins off Binance, CryptoBud refuses it
  5. Turn on Restrict access to trusted IPs only and paste the IP from the email
  6. Copy the API key and the secret

Binance’s own steps: How to create API keys on BinanceOpens in a new tab

Paste it in the app

In CryptoBud, open your server → Go live.

  • Mode: Binance.com (real money)
  • Paste the API key and secret
  • Wait for the Spot wallet amount to show
  • Confirm

Go live copies your paper pairs, style, and budget onto Live. Paper keeps running. Open lots and paper profit stay on paper. Live starts a fresh book.

Or promote one pair

Do not dump every paper pair into live. Pick a winner.

  1. Long press on the server → Set Binance key
  2. Long press on the pair: Promote → destination Live

Promote copies that pair’s strategy and risk. Positions do not come along. You can leave the pair disabled on arrival and turn it on when you are ready.

Use Go live when you want the whole setup. Use Promote when you want one pair. Check the test-then-promote loop →

Can I change the plan after I go live?

Yes. You can change the stop-loss on an open live trade — and the rest of the plan with it. Live is not a locked bot.

Long press the pair → Strategy. Then change what you want:

  • Stop loss and Take profit
  • Trailing stop
  • How big the pair can get — Max position, Max lots
  • Entry logic — what the crypto trading bot watches before it buys

Tap Apply. Open lots use the new exits. New buys use the new plan.

The market turns and the stop-loss is close? Widen it and give the trade more room. Want out sooner? Tighten it. Same sheet. That is the whole move — then call it a day.

If it fails

  • Withdrawals on → create a new key with withdrawals off
  • Spot trading off → turn on Enable Spot & Margin Trading
  • Wrong IP → the email IP, not your phone’s IP
  • Binance.US key → that is a different exchange. CryptoBud is binance.com
  • Testnet key on Binance.com (real money) → will not work. Those are different keys

Paper is the CryptoBud test. You do not need testnet to go live.

If you want the live path without real money — orders hitting Binance’s matching engine, not paper fills — Go live with Binance Testnet (fake money) first. Keys come from testnet.binance.visionOpens in a new tab, not binance.com. Then Binance.com (real money) when you are done.

CryptoBud can run all three modes: paper, live testnet, and live on binance.com.
